About Alisha
I provide a safe space for you to talk about your struggles and for us to collaborate on how to resolve, resist, or accept these struggles. I am experienced with working with adults with trauma, students, seniors, single-parents, immigrants, people in the LGBTQIA+ communities, and people navigating loss and major life transitions. I can offer counselling in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu if needed.
My approach to therapy combines relational, person-centred therapy with anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and feminist theory lens. Therapy with me is collaborative, strengths-based, and a holistic experience. As an Indian-Canadian immigrant, I understand the emotional and practical challenges related with settlement parents, youth, and families may face.
